oh and i got access to pottermore a few weeks ago too!

After answering about 10 questions the sorting hat presented me, I was finally sorted into Hufflepuff. Recently I have been agreeing with this as I CANT STOP EATING. Hufflepuff common room is located next to the Hogwarts kitchen, thank god for that really.

it's been a while!

so have a montage i made of pictures of myself. i was bored, okay! :o) It ranges from little ria, to chav ria, to black hair/purple/reddish hair ria to nowadays! ENJOYYYYYY

In the time I have been absent, I have starting my second year of college - scary stuff! Starting looking at universities for September, ombred my hair (thanks to inspiration from Zoella, thepersianbabe & LLYMRS) although mine went gingery blonde due to my dark hair to begin with - although I still really like it! Lastly, I have finally booked a driving lesson, as you guys know I turned 17 in July and have been so nervous to book a lesson BUT i finally have! Wednesday 12th October between 1.30pm & 3.30pm, stay off the roads Essex!

my sleeping pattern is so messed up.

since me and Jamie have broken up, sitting up to the early hours of the morning chatting to people and listening to music past 3am has become a regular occurrence. Now I don't know if this is some subconscious thing that I have contracted since we broke up or maybe the fact that I don't have to be wide awake to see people anymore has resorted in me getting this again.

My usual early morning routine is watch lots of American TV (How I Met Your Mother or The Glee Project usually), eat lots and take pictures. Here are some from last night -

cos im a lazy shit, I didn't try the first 2 days, but this morning I got up after 4 hours sleep and sat for 2 hours until the clue came up. I freaked out and answered and got INNNNN! So happy, excited, best feeling ever.

eventful day.

i met up with Maddy, only to be waiting for 20minutes at the train station while she was 2metres away from me cos we didn't realise! Then we got into town and one of the biggest chavs whistled at us! I then began to overheat as I wore black jeans and a blazer, so splurged at the New Look sale (3/4 chinos & shorts), got changed in Tesco toilets and made our way up to the Skatepark. Once there I thought.. oh dear, where is my blazer?! OH NO IVE LEFT IT IN TOWN WITH MY IPOD IN IT! We make the trek back up to Tesco and thankfully find it on the back of the toilet door, where I had left it.. :') After this, we got really cold and then I came home. Once in the taxi home, I was like, finally warmth & food. But no, I then got a text from one of my best friend's and she had been in a car crash! I start panicking and worrying so bad! Thankfully everyone is okay and safe!

Feeling all nostalgic.

Last night I was surfing the interweb when I came across all these old shows I used to watch -

• Drake and Josh
• That's So Raven
• The Amanda Show
• Kenan & Kel etc etc 

I sat and thought to myself how different the humour of the programmes nowadays are to the humour back then! I personally think that that those shows I have listed above are 20times funnier than some of the programmes that are on for teenagers today! I love the fact they had catchphrases and everyone from that 'era' knew them. I'm glad that I was a '90's kid' and that I got to experience these shows in their prime! It's been over a week since I last posted so I think an update is in order!

• Saw Harry Potter again with my gran!
• Saw Hannah
• Went to Ben's with Katie, Gareth and Phil! 

Maddy comes home on Wednesday and I'm really excited to see her! I miss our chats about life and stuff. 

I've also become a Sims addict again over the last week.. oh dear, oh dear. I try to control it but it always seems to get the best of me! I've gotten back into the piano and been learning some new songs from some really good artists including Keane, The Kooks and Bon Iver. Seriously in love with 'Skinny Love' at the moment but I think I prefer the Birdy version to the original :/ I've decided that I went to start learning the guitar as well as I have a lot of free time and I want to be productive and until my provisional arrives and I can start learning to drive and should start practising my theory test, I want to fill my time with usual and beneficial things rather than just sitting on my arse watching TV! Haha. 

Not much planned for the next couple of days either. Seeing Hannah tomorrow and possibly Lakeside on Wednesday. Other than that, probably just SIMS. SIMS. SIMS!!!!! HAHAHAHA. <3

Beauty related birthday presents.

Firstly these are the cards I got from people!! WOOOO. I have noticed a recurring theme of animals appearing on the front of most of them.. One of my favourites has to be the one my gran made me of Blaine from Glee singing Happy Birthday to me! Haha, so much love for Darren Criss <3

• Dr Spafish Giftcard - Looking forward to getting a fish pedicure with Hannah some point this week! I have a feeling I'm going to be terrified at first but I really want to do it as an 'experience'. I'm imagining me squealing and giggling for the full 10 minutes! 
• Paul's Boutique quilted brown leather purse - Hannah bought me when she was in Turkey last week! I love it.

Jewellery time - All bought for me by Katie F!!! <3 All bought from Topshop and I can't appear to find any of the items but store crawling usually helps to find some pretty nifty items ;) 

I turned seventeen.

I had a small gathering for my birthday on Friday. A few friends came which was nice cos they're all pretty awesome ;)! The awesome bunch that came to my party were Katie P, Charlotte, Maddy, Danielle, Katie F, Ben, Tom, Josh, Tommy, Pete, Lee and Carl! It was a really good night and lovely way to welcome in my 17th birthday! Tommy and Pete made smile, considering they are my ex's good friends, they walked to my house which is like an hour/two hour walk through woodlands and fields and arrived 10 minutes before midnight! Was a really chilled night of drinking, watching Superbad, eating sandwiches and telling stories! 

The next day, on my actual birthday, I spent it with my mum, step-dad and gran, later going to my best friend's for a meal at Prezzo! Mmm Carbonara. When I got back to her house, her family shouted surprise and sang Happy Birthday to me! They had also made a cake and presents, it was really lovely! They really are a second family to me! Much love for The Simpsons! 

Now that I'm 17, I can't wait to start driving. I really want to be able to just get in a car and zoom down the road, get a McDonalds, see the mandem and be more independent rather than relying on my Mum or Step-dad like I do now. And being 17 means one thing.. ONE YEAR UNTIL I AM 18! WAHOO. can't wait. I have an ID now and have used it a couple of times but I can't wait to relax and walk in like 'Yeah that's right, I'm 18, I'm allowed to be here!'

such a last minute person!

Going to see Harry Potter in the morning and I wish I was more prepared! I wish i'd bought burgundy & gold nail varnish or a scarf or something Gryffindorry or Hogwartsy! Damn me and my last minute attitude!

This Friday will be the end of Harry Potter. This Saturday is my 17th birthday.
I have grown up watching and reading the books since I was 7 years old, crazy right! And in some strange way, I feel really happy that the film is released the day before my birthday as I feel that I will go see it as a 16 year old, come out, party and then I will turn 17. Fresh start and the end of my childhood.

Lots of things have happened recently which makes me glad to be ageing up as I feel a start over is in order and a 'reinvention' of myself. For example, the whole time my college friends have known me, I was in a relationship so now they will have to begin to get to know me as a single person. Not a drastic change but still it is a difference.

It's my birthday in 4 days!

I received a very thoughtful gift from my friend Katie P today! It was actually lovely, she is a very talented drawer and drew me a picture of me! I have put the drawing next to the actual picture to show how well they compare! She also gave this plastic card thing with writing on it! Hannah bought me one last year with 'Best Friends' on it and Katie bought me the 'I'm always her for you' one! I'm always so grateful when friends buy me gifts as I'm terrible with money and birthdays so I always forget! I'm quite happy with a thoughtful card but it was a lovely surprise! She also got me a card and Emma got a card too! Bless 'em! Here is the photo - 

What a jam packed week!

On the 1st July, me and my boyfriend of 19 months broke up. It was horrible at first but now I am beginning to feel a bit better about it all as I know we are going to be friends like we were for a year before we got together. 

Recap of last week. My first week of single-life. 

• Saturday - Wireless Festival with Katie. Had a good time, thought about Jamie quite a lot but raved to Nero, Katy B, Kesha, Chase & Status. Managed to get separated from Katie in one of the crowds and we ended up travelling home on our own!
• Sunday - Spent it with my granny! We watched lots of crappy TV and she made me her homemade potato salad - which is my favourite!
• Monday - Charlotte (who I haven't seen in forever) came over and we had a chat for a few hours!
• Tuesday - I met Maddy and we went to Witham and saw the boys - Jamie wasn't there but I saw a lot of my other boy mates - Tom, Jack, Pete, Kaya, Sam etc. At about 7ish, Maddy and I came back to mine and we ordered a domino's, watched Beyonce's Glasto set again and skyped Alistair (Maddy's friend).
• Wednesday - Katie H came to get me and we went to town and had lunch in Wetherspoons. Which was lush! We then met Beth and saw Bridesmaid - which was really funny but not as good as The Hangover! Afterwards Katie drove to McDonald's and we got burgers!
• Thursday - I met up with Maddy in Witham and it rained so we sat in the pub with Tom all day! I bumped into Jamie too but it was fine. I went over Kim's later on with Richard and got very very drunk! Made some silly phone calls. 
• Friday - I recovered.
• Saturday - I went to Kelvedon Festival with some chums and it was a really lovely day!
• Sunday - Chilled at my gran's and then Katie stayed round!
• Today - Met up with the college lot for a picnic and then went to Nando's with a few of them after!

I am now texting Hannah because she is in Turkey. I miss my best friend a lot :( She comes home on my birthday! So I'm celebrating with her in the evening, yayayay!

          About to watch Alice in Wonderland from 1954. I used to watch this version when I was a child so I love it!! I turn 17 this Saturday so I'm very excited for that too! WOOHOO
